Humanitree House grew from our ever-growing love of organic juices and plant based foods as well as our love for all things great and beautiful. We certainly do not have “pristine diets” 100% of the time, however, we think it’s important for all of us to take better care of ourselves. Cut back on the processed foods and rely on the fabulous fruits, vegetables and grains that make us feel great. We provide a completely vegan, toxin free environment filled with knowledge & dedication designed to help nurture and heal us all. Humanitree House is a cold press juice bar and Art Gallery that is located in the cultural corridor in downtown Augusta, Georgia. The facility will capitalize on the community's deep rooted artistic vibration to provide exposure to varied expressions of the arts in a lively setting and intimate atmosphere. Humanitree House utilizes a service approach that integrates a gallery of work for sale by emerging and established artists; a cold press juice bar offering refreshments and light fare; an open stage offering live entertainment; fine arts exposure and education and holistic health workshops and small conferences. We offer the finest in cold pressed juice and freshly prepared smoothies and teas utilizing only the best local and organically grown ingredients, thereby continuing to strengthen the economic base of the local Augusta community. In addition to our juice bar and art gallery, our retail room will carry some of our favorite things to include books and t-shirts to music and (w)holistic health items and supplies.
MISSION
The mission of Humanitree House Juice Joint and Gallery is to promote intervention and healing through organic cold pressed juicing and health foods, while stimulating the “whole” person through art, art exhibitions, small performances, art therapy, workshops, youth, peer and community workshops and education. We are a unique and vital resource based on the understanding that there is, in fact a void in our community. We plan to fill this void not only with our highly regarded healing juices and health foods, but also through arts, education and encouragement. We are an Eco-Friendly business with a community service component that that promotes the Four (C)s of Humanity; Culture, Creativity, Community and Cooperative Economics. We are conceptual activists that advocate artistic freedom, holistic living and human progression.
As a “Beyond Organic” Juice Joint and Gallery we we get most of our produce locally and organically in order to get the freshest foods available. We will source organics whenever possible but on some occasions we will substitute with ingredients from small farms that do not use commercial fertilizers or pesticides, but do not have organic certification. Shopping as close to local as possible means supporting local farmers in the area and reducing the amount of gas (carbon emissions) used to transport the food to the business. The result is a system that functions on as little energy consumption as possible, a successful local economy and something in the end that is sustainable over longer periods of time.
Co-Founders Baruti and Denise Tucker have a strong vision to see Humanitree House serve the needs of the CSRA area with its programs. Although Augusta, Georgia is a major medical community, we are the only authentic full service juice bar. In addition, with the thriving arts community it does not have a space where artists can showcase without extra ordinary costs.
